Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position that has risen at the Women’s University in Africa.
Reports to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Social and Gender Transformative Sciences
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS
- Set up and monitor efficient systems for storage and retrieval of documents within the Faculty (Maintenance of Faculty records and files);
- Data entry as needed;
- Assist with office supply and book orders;
- Manage Faculty calendar as required;
- Provide information tracking and collection as needed for program accreditation;
- Assist with academic affairs events such as orientation and open days;
- Assist with managing Faculty budget;
- Act as a point of contact between students and staff by providing information to help resolve issues;
- Provide Administrative support to the exams office in relation to the Faculty;
- Assist with the administration of grant activities supervised by the Dean;
- Conduct research requiring collection and reporting of data;
- Schedule Faculty meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Office Management from a recognised examination board;
- Higher National Diploma in Office Management is an added advantage;
- Five (5) Ordinary Levels passes including English Language. Mathematics is an added advantage; and
- At least five (5) years’ experience in conducting secretarial studies in an Executive Office in a reputable organization.
