DATA ANALYTICS OFFICER: QUALITY ASSURANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS
- Support the analysis of data for measurement of university programmes;
- Make data available in real time for optimal data utilisation and undertake regular data review meetings with stakeholders;
- Prepare and update online tools for tracking implementation of data review recommendations;
- Ensure the entire data processing system (collection, storage, use, dissemination and erasure) adheres to the principles of data protection and privacy;
- Assist in the development of new electronic data collection tools and prepare syntaxes and scripts for the calculation of various indicators;
- Create online visualisation that support real time evidence-based insights, strategic and operational decision making for improved performance;
- Develop a data library to collate and curate evidence-based products that contribute to the archiving of use of datasets for primary and secondary use;
- Analyse and prepare a range of reports;
- Liaise with Centres, Schools, Faculties, Departments and Units on data analytics; and
- Build the capacity of the University community in data analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- A University degree in a field relevant to measurements (Statistics, Data Science, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation);
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with quantitative data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, and/or R and qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo, MAXODA and/or Atlas ti and Python; and
- Experience in designing and conducting advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis and generation of evidence-based dashboards and reports.
