Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Digital Marketing Officer at the Women’s University in Africa, Harare Campus.
The Digital Marketing Officer will report to the Manager, Marketing, Communication and Public Relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY TASKS
- Creating and maintaining the university’s presence on various social media platforms;
- Developing social media content that includes tweets, blogs, videos, photos etc;
- Planning and monitoring the ongoing university presence on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedln etc.);
- Launching optimized online adverts through Google Adwords, Facebook etc. to increase the brand awareness;
- Being actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimization etc.);
- Preparing online newsletters and promotional emails and organising their distribution through various channels;
- Providing creative ideas for content marketing and updating the website;
- Collaborating with designers to improve user experience;
- Measuring performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (Google Analytic, Web Trends etc.);
- Tracking online marketing trends and keeping strategies up-to-date; and
- Performing any other duties delegated by the supervisor.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or any closely related field;
- Professional certification in Digital Marketing is a distinct advantage;
- At least two (2) years proven experience as Digital Marketing Officer or similar role in a reputable organization;
- Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices;
- Demonstrable experience with B2C social media, Google Adwords and email campaigns and SEO/ SEM;
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas);
- Perfect knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, WebTrends etc.);
- Skills and experience in creative content writing;
- Analytical mindset and critical thinking; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
