Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following student intern position that have arisen in the Works and Estates Development Department at the Women’s University in Africa.
Reports to Deputy Director, Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met;
- Support project managers in tracking project progress and identifying potential bottlenecks;
- Conduct research and analysis to gather data for project planning and decision-making;
- Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, presentations, and status updates;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies;
- Help organize and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions;
- Assist in preparing project estimates and cashflows; and
- Assist in managing project budgets and resources.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Currently pursuing a degree in Quantity Surveying;
- Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying with proven work experience is a distinct advantage;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Prior experience or coursework in project management is a plus; and
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
