    The Women’s University in Africa (WUA), dedicated to addressing gender disparity and fostering equity in university education, invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Officer.

    Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Officer

    MARKETING:

    · Perform market research to identify new businesses, segments, or groups of customers and channels that the University can develop sustainably

    · Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, performance and other information that would impact the University’s marketing and business development strategies.

    · Assist in the formulation of the University’s Marketing Plan and Business Development Plan to achieve brand visibility, market share and profitability goals.

    · Formulate marketing content to promote the WUA Brand.

    · Project, manage and market events and evaluating their success.

    · Identify areas of improvement in product offerings, tactics, marketing strategy, promotional activities and overall strategy, propose and implement adjustments accordingly.

    · Assist in the development of new products and business opportunities for the University

    OVERALL

    · Ensure all marketing and communication materials align with the brand’s standard.

    · Ensure all databases are updated in terms of prospective customers, competitor analysis and other market research information.

    · Regularly meeting and arranging interviews with media personnel and handling media relations.

    · Developing, writing and editing communication and marketing materials.

    · Promote communication and marketing through social media.

    · Creating content (social media, reports, newsletters).

    · Maintaining digital archives (videos and photos).

    Required qualifications and experience

    · Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Media studies, Public Relations or any related degree.

    · At least 3 years’ experience of working in a training institute and a track record of good performance. Any other marketing qualification is an added advantage

    · Proven working experience in both marketing and digital marketing.

    · Knowledge of Graphic Designing and Digital Marketing is key.
