The University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced, dynamic individuals to fill the following positions that have arisen in its Fashion and Design Centre at Harare:

EMBROIDERY ASSISTANT OPERATOR X 1

The successful candidate will report the Embroidery Machine Operator.300

Responsibilities/Key Tasks

· Trimming off excess threads & vilene on embroidered products;

· Assisting machine operator with framing and changing threads or needles;

· Font adjustments during origination of designs;

· Counting and sorting garments;

· Loading and offloading of garment and materials; and

· Performing any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

· Trimming experience is a must;

· Proven minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Embroidery Assistant Operator in a reputable firm in the clothing industry is a must; and

· Knowledge of operating an embroidery machine or assisting is an added advantage.

Terms of Appointment

The positions are being offered on six (6) months fixed-term performance-based contracts, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
