Postgraduate Diploma Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Care is designed to provide healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the assessment, stabilization, treatment, and management of medical and trauma emergencies.
The programme equips graduates with competencies to respond effectively to critical and life-threatening situations in pre-hospital, hospital, and emergency care settings. It combines theoretical learning with clinical practice to enhance decision-making, leadership, and patient management during emergencies.
Entry Requirements
For all entry requirement candidates must have:
- ‘O’ Level or ‘A’ Level Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and applicants should have computer literacy
- Emergency Medical Care Degree and computer literacy; at least five Ordinary Level subjects/ National Foundation Certificates including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject at grade C or better.
- A Degree in a Related Health Discipline and computer literacy; – Working experience of at least a year in the related fields is an added
requirement
- Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council or a relevant
regulatory body is mandatory for the programme since no patient
contact may occur without registration. Registration is the individual
responsibility of the learner and not that of the University.
