PREAMBLE
The Diploma in Social Work is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes required to work effectively with individuals, families, groups, and communities facing social challenges. The programme provides a strong foundation in social welfare, human behavior, community development, social policy, counseling, and case management.
The programme emphasizes the promotion of social justice, human rights, empowerment, and sustainable development. Through theoretical learning and supervised fieldwork, students gain practical experience in addressing social problems and supporting vulnerable populations. Graduates are prepared to contribute meaningfully to social service delivery in both public and private sectors.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for admission into the Diploma in Social Work programme, applicants should possess:
- At least five (5) O-Level passes, including English Language.
- A pass in English or a certificate in Social Work.
- Relevant A-Level qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
- Mature entry candidates with relevant work experience in social services may be considered in accordance with institutional regulations.
- Applicants should demonstrate an interest in community service, social welfare, and helping professions
