Doctoral Training Workshop

The Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) is hosting the one-and-a-half-day Doctoral Training Workshop, an Association of African Universities (AAU) initiative in collaboration with its Europe and Southern Africa Regional Office. The workshop is running under the theme: “Strengthening Doctoral Training in Zimbabwe: Innovations, Challenges, Collaboration, and Publication Pathways.”

The high-level gathering has brought together academics, researchers, higher education stakeholders, and representatives from various universities across Zimbabwe and the region to discuss strategies aimed at enhancing doctoral education, research output, innovation, collaboration, and publication opportunities.

Several universities are delivering presentations and sharing experiences on strengthening doctoral programmes, research supervision, innovation, and postgraduate support systems. Women’s University in Africa (WUA) is also participating in the workshop, presenting its contributions and initiatives towards advancing doctoral training, research excellence, and academic development.
