    Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of STUDENT RECRUITMENT OFFICER that has arisen in the Academic Registry Section of the Women’s University in Africa.

    The Student Recruitment Officer reports to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Admissions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY TASKS

    1. Lead Management & Conversion
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all inquiries originating from phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and social media.
    • Execute a rigorous follow-up strategy to convert “prospects” into “applicants,” ensuring a high commitment to enrolment.
    • Provide hands-on support for students struggling with online application to eliminate drop-outs during the digital process.

    2. Strategy & Outreach
    • Develop and execute comprehensive outreach strategies to increase WUA’s visibility working hand in hand with the Marketing Department.
    • Represent WUA at national events such as the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, Presidential Innovation Summits, and High School Career Fairs.
    • Provide expert program consultations, advising prospective students on career paths, fee structures, and entry requirements.

    3. Systems & Process Improvement
    • Review and improve onsite admission processes to reduce turnaround time from inquiry to admission letter.
    • Guide admitted students through fee payment, registration, and orientation procedures to ensure a smooth transition into university life.

    4. Reporting & Analysis
    • Compile and present timely recruitment activity reports, and conversion analysis.
    • Identify bottlenecks in the application funnel and propose tech-driven or procedural solutions.
    • Carry out studies to understand the marketing strategies that yield the most results and the University’s target market.

    5. Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
    a) A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Administration, Communications, or a related field from a recognised institution of higher learning.
    b) Proven experience in sales, recruitment, or customer relationship management (CRM).
    c) Digital Marketing Certification is an added advantage.
    d) Highly proficient in online application systems and database management.
    e) Exceptional persuasive skills via WhatsApp, phone, and in-person.
    f) Highly organised, empathetic, and driven by targets.
