    1. Webinar on AI & Higher Education

    Organized in collaboration with Subula e.U, AAU invites you to a webinar titled “AI & Higher Education: Capacities, Use Cases & Institutional Strategies.” As AI continues to shape the global education landscape, this webinar explores understanding AI in higher education, where universities should begin with AI integration, and the institutional opportunities and strategic pathways.

    2. AAU/T&F Webinar Series

    In collaboration with AAU, Taylor & Francis Group presents the webinar series, “Accelerating Medical Research in Africa” tailored for researchers in medicine and healthcare. Join us for the first session which explores how preprints are accelerating medical and healthcare research across Sub-Saharan Africa through faster dissemination, greater visibility, and global collaboration.

    3. AEIP Entrepreneurship and Innovation CoP Meeting

    The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Community of Practice (CoP) under the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform invites you to join the CoP and participate in the next meeting on the theme “Strengthening AU–EU Collaboration for Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”

    4. AAU Digital Empowerment MOOCs

    The first cohort of the AAU Digital Empowerment MOOCs runs from Monday, February 2 to Friday, February 20, 2026. The MOOCs will be delivered in a blended format, combining three-week self-paced online sessions with a day contact session with facilitators, followed by a one-week in-person practical workshop to maximize participation and impact.

    5. UM6P Executive Masters 2026 Intake

    The Institute of Education & Academic Effectiveness at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) announces the Executive Master’s in Governance, Administration and Policy in Education (GAPEF). This programme is designed for education leaders, policymakers, and changemakers committed to strengthening education systems across Africa.

    6. Webinar – Transitioning Into Pedagogic Research

    The Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) invites workshop participation from individuals transitioning into pedagogical research from other disciplines. The workshop will explore the interrelationship between learning, teaching, and research at a time when multidisciplinary research is becoming increasingly important across the higher education sector. It will examine the dual relationship between discipline-centred research and pedagogic research, as well as the transition between these areas, with particular focus on research methodologies and publication.

    On January 23, 2026, AAU and Afrobarometer co-hosted a continental webinar themed “The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education: An African Imperative”, to commemorate the International Day of Education.

    The 2nd Edition of the workshop “Positioning Your University for Global Visibility 2.0” held from the 27th – 29th January 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia was an enormous success, and we look forward to the 3rd Edition scheduled for May 2026.

    1. Call for Features – HealthAfrik

    AAU, through its television platform AAU TV, invites Universities, Research Institutions, Centres of Excellence, as well as Faculty, Researchers, and Students to submit feature ideas for the upcoming season of HealthAfrik, our flagship health program.

    This season of HealthAfrik is dedicated to showcasing health-related research, innovation, and institutional impact emerging from African higher education and research ecosystems. The program provides a continental platform for translating academic work into accessible narratives that reach universities, policymakers, development partners, and communities across Africa.

    We welcome submissions in these fields:

    • Health research and innovation
    • Digital health and technological solutions
    • Public health and community health interventions
    • And any health-related areas

    2. E-JUST TICAD8 Scholarships

    Egypt–Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) invites applicants from African countries to apply for its Postgraduate M.Sc. programmes under the TICAD8 Scholarships for Fall 2026. The TICAD8 programmes are fully funded, covering tuition, flights, accommodation, medical insurance, and monthly stipends.

    4. UKCEH West Africa ST&I Helpdesk Experts Pool

    The UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) West Africa Office, through its Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) Helpdesk, invites qualified professionals to join a regional pool of experts supporting demand-led technical assistance across West Africa. Selected experts will provide rapid advisory support, technical reviews, and participate in knowledge-exchange activities under the Sankore Project. Applications are open to professionals with 5+ years’ ST&I experience and strong analytical and policy engagement skills.

    5. Society for Research into Higher Education Newer Researcher Awards

    Applications are now open for the Society for Research into Higher Education Newer Researcher Awards. In 2026 there will be up to three awards of £3,000 available for a research project of one year’s duration.
