The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunungurai D. Chingarande addressed the delegates, detailing the long-term achievements of the university thus far such as key infrastructural developments to expand the University as well as the introduction of new programs at different levels for all faculties. She also gave a preparatory message to the graduates encouraging them to continue with a winning attitude in all areas of their lives and quoting the words of Apostle Paul from Philippians 3:12-14 which state:
“Not that I have already attained it or have already arrived at my goal…but I press on…I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it; but one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and strain towards what is ahead. I press towards the goal to win the prize...”
