At the two-day Gender Mainstreaming Workshop at the Women's University in Africa's Harare campus, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunungurai D. Chingarande had a gender dialogue with the University staff on "How Gender Issues Can Be Mitigated In Teaching and Learning Environments."
The workshop discussed resolutions for dealing with gender stereotypes within different communities. It also focused on the need to accommodate the female student by understanding their challenges and responsibilities, and then strategizing and implementing ways to adapt. Gender equality is the university mandate aligned with one of the top ten Sustainable Development Goals prioritized by Zimbabwe as a nation.
The workshop was supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC)
