The Cleaner/Messenger will report to the Campus Administrator.
CLEANER/ MESSENGER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing of designated areas to the required standard;
- Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard;
- Cleaning of working surfaces and furniture as directed;
- Clearing up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning;
- Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies;
- Setting up, arranging, and removing decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as conferences and meetings;
- Empting bins and recyclables and transporting to disposal area;
- Making tea for University staff during meetings;
- Delivering internal and external mail; and
- Performing any other related tasks that may be assigned by the Campus Administrator from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- At least 5 O’ level passes including English Language;
- At least one (1) year experience as a Cleaner/Messenger in a reputable organisation;
- Punctual and reliable;
- Good communication skills; and
- Ability to manage time effectively.
