Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in vacant position that has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa.
The successful candidate will report to the Registrar.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organising and coordinating meetings for the Registrar;
- Taking and circulating expeditiously accurate minutes of key meetings;
- Developing a working knowledge of the Registrar’s contacts and developing a general awareness of key business issues;
- Meeting and looking after visitors at all levels of seniority;
- Screening calls, passing callers on to the right alternative contact if appropriate, and taking detailed messages, handling queries and conveying accurate messages;
- Managing the Registrar’s diary and correspondences, including creating a suitable filing system for rapid retrieval of important documentation or correspondences;
- Handling post, couriers, filing, photocopying and archiving and allocating correspondence to the correct recipients as needed;
- Maintaining a record of nay operational queries or complaints received from external parties with action taken; and
- Performing any other job related duties as assigned by the Registrar.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies OR Office Management from a recognised examination board;
- A minimum of five years working experience at senior secretarial level; and
- Strong working knowledge of Word (essential) and other Microsoft packages such as Excel, PowerPoint;

- Excellent organisational skills with a very high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;

- The ability to work alone and as part of a team;
