Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position which has arisen at Women’s University in Africa:
The successful candidate will assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection between the University and its diverse clients. The Digital Marketing Officer will report to the Business Development Manager.
- Creating and maintaining the University’s presence on various social media platforms;
- Developing social media content that includes tweets, blogs, videos, blogs, photos etc;
- Planning and monitoring the ongoing University presence on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.);
- Launching optimised online adverts through Google Adwords, Facebook etc. to increase brand awareness;
- Actively involving in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimisation etc.);
- Preparing online newsletters and promotional emails and organising their distribution through various channels;
- Providing creative ideas for content marketing and updating the University website;
- Collaborating with designers to improve user experiences;
- Measuring performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends and so on); and
- Tracking online marketing trends and keeping strategies up-to-date.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or any closely related field;
- Professional certification in Digital Marketing is a distinct advantage;
- At least two (2) years proven experience as Digital Marketing Officer or similar role in a reputable organisation;
- Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices;
- Demonstrable experience with B2C social media, Google Adwords and email campaigns and SEO/SEM;
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas); and
- Perfect knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, WebTrends and so on).
