Entry  Requirements

  • To be considered for admission to the M.Sc. in Development Studies degree programme a candidate should normally:-
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree of this University or any other approved university in any Social Science discipline with at least an upper second class pass.
  • Holders of a lower second class degree may be eligible provided that they have at least two years of relevant working experience.

Exemptions
There shall be no exemptions allowed for any course on the basis of courses previously taken at undergraduate or any other level in programme of study that is deemed to be equivalent to a prescribed course.

Language
English is the language of instruction at the Women’s University in Africa.  Candidates without proficiency in English may be provisionally admitted pending successful completion of the intensive English Programme.

Duration of the Degree Programme
The M.Sc. in Development Studies degree programme shall be offered on a part-time basis and will run for two academic years.
