Women’s University in Africa’s secretaries joined other secretaries from across the city in commemorating the Secretary’s Day held at Mbizi Game Park on the 30th of September 2011.
The event which was facilitated by the Enhancement Consultancy, was celebrated by secretaries from Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, form WUA and from Mlezu Agricultural College. The workshop was intended to instil trust, confidence, courage, perseverance and patience to the secretaries. These lessons were learnt through games conducted practically where people were grouped into teams working together to overcome obstacles.
In an interview with one of the secretaries from Women’s University in Africa Ms B. Tsverukayi, she highlighted that the workshop improved their time management, strategizing techniques and developed their abilities to work as a team and efficiency at work. She also highlighted that the workshop helped the secretaries who were present to relieve them of office pressure and refresh their minds. The workshop tackled topics of leaving a legacy, adopting to change and to have financial independence .All participants received a book by Faith Ntabeni Bhebhe titled Financial Independence Women’s Ultimate Empowerment. The participants were also graced with personalized mug cups.
The Women’s University in Africa’s secretaries are all grateful for the opportunity granted to learn and explore.
