The Women’s University in Africa (WUA) is a private institution that was established in 2002 and granted a Charter by the Government of Zimbabwe in 2004 (Statutory Instrument 130/2004). Its mandate is to address gender disparity and foster equity in university education.

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Stores Clerk which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa, Harare campus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY TASKS

  • Receiving orders, storing and issuing materials and supplies;
  • Maintaining an appropriate amount of inventory and keeping the inventory stored in the proper order and location;
  • Taking stock of all materials and supplies periodically;
  • Picking up materials and transporting to storage or platforms for delivery;
  • Preparing and maintaining requisitions and processing purchase orders for materials and supplies;
  • Checking goods received against purchase orders/requisitions to ensure accuracy of deliveries/shipments;
  • Receiving and filing requisitions for materials and supplies;
  • Driving to pick up and delivering materials;
  • Processing of payment vouchers and petty cash vouchers;
  • Processing online payments;
  • Posting payments in Navision; and
  • Preparing creditors reconciliations on a monthly basis.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

 

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND in Accounting;
  • Clean class 4 driver’s license;
  • Knowledge of accounting software and
  • Knowledge of Navision is an added advantage.

 

Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in an Accounting environment and stores department.
