The Women’s University in Africa (WUA) is a private institution that was established in 2002 and granted a Charter by the Government of Zimbabwe in 2004 (Statutory Instrument 130/2004). Its mandate is to address gender disparity and foster equity in university education.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill a Full Time Lecturer position which has risen in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Women’s University in Africa, Marondera campus:
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES
DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE
ANIMAL AND MEAT SCIENCE (1 POST)
The successful candidate must be able to teach at least three of the following modules at undergraduate level using online and/or face-to-face methods: Meat Science and Technology; Processing of Animal Products; Applied Animal Processing Products; Animal Food Products Value Chains; Meat and Milk Products Biotechnology; Microbiology of Meat and Milk Products; and Safety and Packaging of Animal Products. Teaching experience at Tertiary or University level is mandatory.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Applicants must hold at least:
- A Doctoral Degree in Animal Science specialising in Meat Science; Dairy Technology; and/or Food Processing; and A Masters Degree in Animal Science specialising in Meat Science, Dairy Technology and Food Processing and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1 degree classification.
