Women's University in Africa is calling for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above positions.
Responsibilities
- Teaching courses in Social Sciences at Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree level;
- Supervising students’ research work;
- Assessing students on work related learning;
- Participating in community service activities;
- Carrying out research and generating publications;
- Delivering seminars, tutorials, field work and facilitating e-learning;
- Assisting in recruitment of students;
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to the Department; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Chairperson of the Department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Doctor of Philosophy in Social Sciences discipline preferably, Sociology, Development Studies, Disaster and Risk Studies or Gender Studies;
- Master of Science in any one of the following: Sociology, Development Studies, Disaster and Risk Studies or Gender Studies;
- Bachelor of Science in Sociology/Gender Studies; and
- At least two (2) years of lecturing experience in a tertiary institution.
